Walnut Victorian towel bar with original inset oval needlepoint design. The frame features leaf carvings with original gilt incising. The bar itself has a ball at each end and is held by a center knob. The needlework features flowers and cherries and is quite intricate (see photo of back). The frame has an old repaired break – hardly noticable. A great little decorative accessory from the period
