Victorian Iron Firebox

Fabulous VERY heavy fancy Victorian cast iron firebox.  The two sides and front are all elaborate open work with curved edges.  There is a finial on all four corners.   The back has a diamond pattern with a fleur di lis in the center of each.  The top has five putti within a recessed oval with an ornate border.  I could find no markings on this piece other than three very faint numbers on the rim (see photo).  There is a removable grate in the bottom.  The front has detailed claw feet and there are small castors on the back legs.  A really marvelous piece!    Circa:   1860.     Dimensions:   24″ H   x   16″ D   x   29 ” W (these are widest measurements in the base).    Condition:  All original condition.  Much of the paint has chipped off and the thickness of the paint makes it difficult to see details in the design.  The buyer could have it sand blasted and repainted or enjoy it as it is.    Price:  $1250   CLEARANCE SALE PRICE:  $495
