Most unusual Renaissance Revival walnut Victorian utility stand. It has a curved crest with a round raised burled panel in the center. We had a new leather surface put on the lift top lid and repaired the lower right corner of the lid (see photo) where the burl was slightly jagged. There a several compartments that are exposed when the lid is lifted. Two of the smaller ones have lids. Underneath the lift top surface, is a pull out drawer. The outside of the middle portion is decorated with raised burled panels and carved rosettes. There is a fancy open carving on each side. The top is supported by two front fluted columns. There is a very different open carved “basket” in the back of the base (see photo). This small stand is very decorative, would fit in almost any spot and could serve a number of functions. I have never had one like it before. Circa: 1870 Dimensions: 38″H x 20″W x 16″D Finish: Refinished by previous owner but good old color remains Price: $1295.00
