Rare form Rococo Victorian rosewood sofa in the bird pattern. The back is ornately open carved with flowers, roses, “C” scrolls and , a very special, pair of birds and nest with three eggs. There is a nice cluster of flowers in the center of the bottom skirt. The sofa was refinished and reupholstered a number of years ago. The joints on the back have been re-enforced by four custom made iron braces (see photo). The carvings on this sofa – especially the top bird crest – are exceptional!
