Renaissance Butler’s Table

Unique Renaissance Revival Victorian table.  It can be used as a solid sofa table (2nd photo) or expanded out to a three tiered butler’s table (1st photo).  The entire top is burled with a great vibrant swirly grain.   The skirt has raised burled panels and a carved button in the middle on all four sides.  Burled panels are also on the canted corners.   The sides are spectacular and feature profuse burl and carvings, including claw feet. It has the original metal castors.   An ornate open carved bottom stretcher separates the two sides.  A lever under the middle shelf allows one to open and close the table.  We sold this piece to serious collectors in the Berkshires over twenty years ago.  They recently passed away, and I am delighted to once again offer this superior piece!   Over the years, I have had several such combination tables but this is the BEST!    Circa:  1870.    Dimensions:  45.5″H   x   48″W   x   22″D (expanded).   34″H   x   48″W   x   22″D (sofa table).   Condition:   Fine polished original finish with a rich patina.  The top has some small imperfections in the finish that show use (possible coffee drops).   Price:   $2750mwa17 mwa10 mwa11 mwa12 mwa13 mwa14 mwa15 mwa16 mwa18 mwa19
