Raphael Porcelain Painting

A lovely copy of Raphael’s famous painting “Madonna Della Sedia”.   The round painting is on porcelain and has a paper stamp with the number “18363 Lire 16 aa” on the back along with a pink fleur di lis and “Firence” (Florence) (see photo).  The painting is of top quality.  It is set in a original gilt frame that is quite similar to the original.  It includes raised heads in the inner part surrounding the painting along with many other fancy elements.  The frame has the label “Gairing 1935 Broadway, Chicago Ill”  (see photo).    Due to this label, I suspect that the porcelain painting was purchased from Italy and framed and marketed in the USA.   A gorgeous early replica of a masterpiece!    Circa:  Late 1800?s.    Dimensions:   12? W   x   14.5?  H   x   2? D (frame).    6? Diameter of painting.   Condition:  Painting is in excellent condition.  The frame is in fine condition with the original gilt.       Price:  $1395. mds1 (1) mds1 mds2 mds4 (1) mds4 (2)
