Great quartered oak flat top partner’s desk attributed to R.J. Horner, NYC. It features intricately carved women’s heads diagonally on each corner with wings on the sides. Unlike most partner’s desks, this one has a full compliment of drawers on each side (no false drawers). Each drawer has an ornate shell carved pull and oak secondary wood. The entire desk, including the top, has a vibrant tiger oak grain. The cabriole shaped legs end in nicely formed claw feet. There is a white stenciled number on the bottom of the desk. That, along with the intricate figural carving, is a trademark of the R.J. Horner firm. A wonderful desk for a computer, printer and accessories! Circa: 1900.
Dimensions: 31.5″H x 54″L x 33″D.
Condition: Nice original finish with a deep honey colored patina. A few slight seam exposures on the top. No major flaws. Replaced castors.
