Porcelain Lady Painting

Gorgeous Victorian painting on porcelain of a lady titled “Waiting”.  There is a wreath of flowers draped over her bare shoulder and chest.  She has a full mane of hair tied with three ribbons.  The gilt frame has extensive open work and a three dimensional presentation.  The previous owner bought this at an antique show in Boston in 1961, MA as is inscribed on the back.  A small round maker’s stamp is embossed on the back (see photo) but I can’t make out the details.  A lovely and charming painting!    Circa: 1880.    Dimensions:  12″ H   x   9 3/4″ W (frame).   7″ H   x   5″ W (painting).   Condition:   Painting is in good condition with no chips/cracks.  There are some repairs to the gilt frame – mostly the recoloring of two of the corners and several old cracks.  The ornateness of the frame tends to hide these minor flaws.  There is no backing to the frame.   Price:   $1895DSC_0242 DSC_0244 DSC_0245 DSC_0246 DSC_0247 DSC_024835966237_1_l[1]35966237_2_l[1] 35966237_4_l[1] 35966237_5_l[1] 35966237_9_l[1] 35966237_10_l[1]
