Pittsburgh Table Lamp

Wonderful late Victorian table lamp made by the Pittsburgh Lamp, Brass, and Glass Company.  It has a signed “Success” font which is typical of that firm. Information on the company can be found at this link:   http://www.thelampworks.com/lw_companies_plbg.htm.   The lamp is of generous size and features Sir Galahad or Sir Lancelot on both the shade and base.   He is carrying a lance, wearing a cape and body armor while sitting on a white horse.  The entire glass background is decorated with an interesting pattern of swirling rectangles.  An original beaded fringe hangs from the shade ring.   The lamp was electrified by a previous owner.  A substantial lamp with a unique decoration!    Circa:   1900.    Dimensions:   25″ H   x   14″ Diameter of shade.    Condition:  Missing a few strands of the beaded fringe.  Decoration on top and bottom is in good condition.  Metal work has original (or old) tarnish.   Price:   $2495
