New York Sampler

Great Victorian era sampler made by Corinne Guggenheim from Monsey, New York ( A small hamlet in Rockland County).  In addition to the alphabet, it has a man, dog, birds, trees, flowers and a castle.  It has a period and likely original birdseye maple frame.  There is some normal staining but generally it is in good condition with no significant loss.  It is dated 1865 – the year the Civil War ended!  A lovely piece of Americana with fabulous provenance!    Circa:   1865.   Dimensions:   19″ H   x   24″ W.    Condition:  Noted above.   Price:   $1150.sa2 sa3 sa4 sa5 sa6 sa7
