Sweet pair of turn-of-the-century mahogany rocking chairs. They feature lovely shaped backs with extensive inlay including mother-0f-pearl. They have contoured seats and fancy rope turned spindles and supports. The arms have an unusual form, rolling under the seat to attach to a ball. While not identical, it is obvious that these rockers were purchased at the same time from the same company to compliment each other. Very likely made by Paine Furniture Company in Boston. A super gorgeous pair! Circa: 1900. Dimensions: 41″H x 25″H (taller one) 39″H x 26″H (other). Finish: Probably refinished in the past but great condition and rich old patina. Price: $2195.00 for the pair.
