Magnificent pair of huge Victorian brass andirons from the Henry Timkin estate in Canton, OH. Each of these has extensive fancy decoration with faces supported by wings being the predominant motif. There are three claw feet on the base. These are meant to stand in the front of a fireplace with a free standing grate behind. These are one of the most impressive pairs we have seen – very heavy!
