Amberina Butter Dish

Victorian amberina butter dish.  A discussion of this glass is on pages 17-18 of Art Glass Nouveau by Ray & Lee Grover.  It was likely made by New England Glass Company.  The bottom plate has a concaved base.   An amber multi faceted knob is on top of the dome.  The dome has a thumb print design.  A very desirable form!    Circa:  1890.   Dimensions:   5.5″ H   x   7″ Diameter.    Condition:  Several VERY small wear nicks on the edge of the base.   Price:   $295DSC_0039 DSC_0042 DSC_0041 DSC_0040
